The mission of the Central Jersey Blood Center is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply for the communities of Monmouth and Ocean County, New Jersey and the surrounding areas. Our motto is "Local Community Comes First", as we are the primary supplier of blood and blood products to all of our local hospitals, saving the lives of thousands of transfusion patients each year.
We are planning our annual "Make a Difference Day", which is an opportunity for us to thank the many dedicated people who help us all year with their blood donations.
This event will be held at our Shrewsbury Donor Center on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 9am-2pm. All of our donors and their families are invited to a day of food, games, gift drawings, local vendors and lots of fun! The blood donations collected that day will help keep our shelves full and avoid a critical shortage during the summer, when our need for blood is the highest all year.
As you may know, it takes more than blood to save a life; we need your help!
We are asking our local businesses and retailers for donations of food, gifts, services and/or financial resources. We also have vendor space available for the day of this event and would love to have you join us for the day. This is a great way to connect with customers in the area along with supporting a great cause. Any help that you give us will go a long way to assuring the success of our day.
